Numbers from 10 to 20 in Spanish
The numbers 10 to 20 are a little different from the numbers 1 to 10. You must use “dieci” followed by the single number. For example, 10+6 = sixteen, except for 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.

To write the numbers from 20 to 69 in Spanish, just add the single number (units) to the tens number.
From 30 onwards “y” is used to “join” the two numbers. It is very easy but if it is not clear to you it is better that you take a look at the video below and you will be able to see one by one its pronunciation.

What about number 20 and 30?
Sometimes Spaniards pronounce it fast and you will hear “vente”, “ventiuno” “trenta” “trenta y uno”…. but this form is incorrect.
You should write veinte, veintiuno, veintidos… treinta, treinta y uno, treinta y dos… which is the correct form.
